What bus fees does for your school

Each stop carries its own fare for the year. When a student is given a stop, the transport fee is added to their fees, and it is adjusted when they join in the middle of the year. Bus fees are collected and reported together with all other fees.

How it works

Bus fees in three steps

  1. Price each stop

    Give every stop its fare for the academic year, and copy fares into the next year when they do not change.

  2. Allocate the bus

    When a student is put on a bus, the transport fee for their stop is added to their fees, fixed at that day's fare.

  3. Collect with other fees

    Bus fees are collected on the same receipt as other fees and reported separately.

The fee is worked out for the months remaining, so a mid-year joiner pays only for the time they use the bus.

What if we change a stop's fare later?

Students already on the bus keep the fare they were given, so a fare change never alters fees already billed.
